“What a gem in Yountville within walking distance to tasting rooms and world class restaurants! Our family reserved 5 rooms in June 2025. Lori and her team promptly answered questions and worked with us to add an extra day to our stay prior to arrival. Check-in is contactless and we were texted our room number and door code. It’s centrally located in Yountville and the Mini Model Bakery was an added bonus for breakfast/coffee. Each room had coffee makers with Wolfgang Puck coffee, hair dryers, bathroom toiletries replenished each day, refrigerator, wine glasses, bottle opener, tv, umbrellas, and plenty of space to move around. The railway cars are nicely converted, and the king size beds were comfortable after a long day. The breezeway between the rail cars was a great spot to enjoy a cocktail, wine or coffee. Other reviewers commented about the noise from parking lot, cars on the street or the balloons launching in the field behind the Railway Inn. Our AC was on and this did not bother any of us in the five rooms. We have visited Napa for over 25 years and have stayed all over the valley in luxurious resorts with spas to no frills inns with Yountville being our favorite spot. The Railway Inn was a first time stay for us, and we will be back next year. This is a quaint inn that I highly recommend if you are simply in Napa to have fun, taste great wine and eat good food!”

“Cool place to stay right in the middle of downtown Yountville. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants, it's the central location. The train wagons are pretty cool to stay in also ! It is right next to the v market, which has dining, shopping, and used to be an Old winery built in 1870.”

“This unique inn was a perfect stay for a few days in downtown Yountville. It was walking distance to many tasting rooms, shops, and restaurants. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Check-in was super easy via text and access to rooms was with a door code so no need to keep track of room keys/cards. The Model Bakery is located next door for delicious breakfast sandwiches and lattes. Meeting place for Aloft Hot Air Balloon rides is also conveniently located behind this inn.”

“Stayed 1 night and was a great experience. Very novel and unique way of making railway train carriage into rooms. Nice clean rooms too. Place was quiet but near the town's eateries. A few Michelin starred restaurants nearby. Special thanks for the staff who helped with checking out as we had to time it with our air-balloon rides.”

“Wow! We live in Napa and have always wanted to stay here because it looks so cool. And it was! The rooms were gorgeous and above our expectations, considering the price is so affordable for the location and uniqueness. We did a tasting at Cornerstone next door as the room comes with a complimentary tasting - it was so generous! We also received a discount at Model Bakery which is the last train car connected to the hotel. But THE MOST lovely part of our stay was waking up to the massive, colorful hot air balloon behind the hotel being blown up and taking off - the ultimate Napa Valley experience! We live here, but can't wait to come back. My husband was laughing at how many pictures I was taking of the hotel - it's just so cute!”
